What is Spiritual Guidance Coaching?
Spiritual guidance coaching is a modern practice of trained, professional support. It represents an important departure from outdated models of “spiritual direction,” where religious authority figures would tell seekers what they must do in order to deepen their spirituality. A spiritual guidance coach (sometimes called a “spiritual guide” or “spiritual companion”) enters into sacred space with you, listening deeply without judgment as your spiritual journey unfolds. A spiritual guidance coach asks questions and offers a mirror, helping you to explore and deepen your own relationship with the Divine. While a spiritual guidance coach may offer resources and suggestions, the work is fully centered on your empowerment. That means that you, as the one who knows your journey best, decide what is most useful to you as the work proceeds.
Our modern spiritual landscape is transforming before our eyes. Just twenty years ago, 70% of Americans affiliated with a particular religious tradition. Now, that percentage has dropped to 47%, less than half the population. Participation in formal worship services has declined sharply. An increasing number of persons describe themselves as having no religious preference, or as “spiritual but not religious.” These changing trends have increased the need for spiritual guidance coaching.
For those who are affiliated with a particular tradition, spiritual guidance coaching offers a neutral place for clients to explore their own thoughts, feelings and experiences. For example, a client may be having dreams or experiences that seem to challenge their belief system. Some clients need a safe space to explore their own religious doubts, or even larger scale faith crises. Spiritual guidance coaching offers an opportunity to process these experiences without fear of judgment or reprisal.
For those who see themselves as “spiritual but not religious,” or who are seeking their own spiritual path, spiritual guidance coaching offers clients an independent means of exploring and deepening their own relationship to the Divine in whatever way they experience it. Seeking support in your spiritual life? Your spiritual guidance coaching journey begins here! In this 50 minute session, we can explore your current spiritual path, thoughts, dreams, or concerns. As your companion on your journey, I listen deeply, ask insightful questions, and provide resources to help you develop and progress toward your own spiritual aspirations. Drawing from your experiences, dreams, feelings, and thoughts, we work hand-in-hand to enhance your relationship with the Divine in whatever form it manifests itself for you. Single spiritual guidance coaching sessions are available for $100.00 via Zoom, telephone, or (for locals) in person. You can choose an available time on my calendar while booking this session.

Ready to commit to an ongoing exploration and enhancement of your relationship with the Divine? Your greatest benefit from spiritual guidance coaching can come from regularly planned sessions, where I can provide ongoing support for your contemplation and efforts. We typically meet every two weeks, depending on your needs and desires, to focus on how your spiritual journey is continuing to unfold. I want to help you nurture yourself through an ongoing engagement with the Divine, so I offer this special multi session package in which you receive 6 sessions for just $500.00, essentially receiving one session free! These ongoing spiritual guidance coaching sessions are available via Zoom, telephone, or (for locals) in person. You can choose an available time on my calendar while booking the first session. I will arrange future appointments with you manually, once we discuss your preferred session schedule.
